When a person comes into the Chesapeake Cares Food Pantry they receive more than a bag of groceries. Along with the needed food comes encouragement, partnership, mentoring and accountability. In a word, relationship.
It’s through relationship that people experience a life changing encounter and move from dependence to their highest level of self-sufficiency. Our success stories are when people don't need us anymore. Better yet, it's when they respond to the love and relationship and come back to serve others the way they were served.
